About the Doctor

Kendra Cohn was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Part of a rodeo family, she became an active member of the California High School Rodeo Association.  She eagerly took on leadership positions as well as being an all-around athlete.  This, teamed with her excellence in academics, took her to California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in the fall of 2000.

Here, Kendra stayed involved with her horses.   She took on leadership roles such as Rodeo Club Treasurer and Rodeo Club President.  However this did not stop her from graduating with honors in December 2003 with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology.

Now Kendra was poised to pursue a career in the health professions.  In fall 2004 she enrolled in Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California to study the science, art and philosophy of chiropractic.  By December 2007, Kendra had earned a Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer West.

In addition to her regular training, Kendra passed a post-graduate certification program accredited by the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association at Parker College of Chiropractic, Dallas, Texas, to study the specialty of adjusting animals.  She enjoys being a “mixed” practitioner adjusting both people and animals.

"When someone thinks about chiropractic you probably have a picture in your mind of someone lying on a table while a doctor applies pressure to specific areas to adjust the back into a more healthy position. However, after Kendra worked on our four horses I’ll never have that vision again. We currently have three show horses and one ranch horse and Kendra adjusts them all. I’ll have to admit that I was pretty skeptical when our trainer, DeeDee Kramer suggested that we have our horses adjusted, but after the first session I could tell that this was something that the horses need. Prior to the adjustment one of my horses would ‘fire’ off on one side and was obviously uncomfortable – I attributed this to the horse being 16 years old, having the wrong shoes and of course you can always blame the rider, even if it is your daughter.

After that first session we had a completely different horse on our hands, its temperament was much improved, we had far more horse with far less effort and what would sometimes require work in the ring now came easily. I cannot stress enough how these adjustments have helped all of our horses and I would suggest that you give Kendra a call and let her explain how and why this is important for your horse. For my part Kendra has a client for life and I have her doing adjustments on all of my horses a few times a month. "

"My boy Whiskey had fallen so hard while I was on vacation that riding him was like riding a bicycle. Kendra came out and adjusted him. I rode him, he was perfectly smooth, loved to gallop again. I took him on a 3.5 hour trail ride, he was the horse out in front, not getting tired, not getting sore and his back wasn't even tense.

The other thing that Kendra did for me is she showed me how to get flexibility in his pole and also how to actually trigger the lifting of the back. Many chiropractors and veterinarians had told me to lift his back but nobody could make him do it. After Kendra worked on him, his back lifts, he's wonderful to ride, and he's a happy character."

"My horse is 25 years old. Very healthy and he had trouble walking on his left side. I tried a few things and they didnt work. Kendra worked on him for about 20 minutes, and I was real concnerend about it because he had been limping.

My horse took off when I started to circle him and this is now day 2 and he has absolute no limp. Apparently his sacrarelium was out on his back. I don't normally do this but i highly, highly recommend this lady. She is absolutely magnificent with animals and my horse is real happy now."

"I'm an active guy who's getting a little older.  I am always playing soccer but it is getting harder and harder to physically keep up.  I get a lot more injuries than I used to.  Thankfully, Dr. Cohn has always helped me rehab these injuries with a swift, professional diagnosis and effective treatment plan.

Aside from trying to heal myself, I fully understand routine corporeal maintenance.  It helps me keep running and prevent what surely could be more pain and suffering.  I feel better, play better and get to keep doing what I enjoy.

I would highly recommend Dr. Cohn to anyone who doesn't want to slow down just because they're not the youngest guy on the team."
